As many people are aware of, The United States is having a huge shortage of baby formula. I have been keeping an eye on the issue for over 6 months now. Greyson is not on formula anymore obviously, but I was worried it would spill over into other baby and kids foods. Well a few weeks ago we found ourselves in that situation. As most of you know, Greyson has a major eating challenge. He will only eat, puffs, yogurt and Gerber toddler meals. Well, over the past month we have been having trouble getting all of those items. Most recently it was yogurt, but last week it was puffs and the week before meals. I actually spoke to the Gerber distributor at the supermarket. I was luck that I just happened to be there when they were. I asked them about the food issue and they said Gerber had a massive recall and distribution problems they are working through and that it could last for a while, maybe even over a year before it all gets worked out. Luckily, we have found some on Amazon. So far we have found a way to get through the situation, but who knows what the future holds. We are trying to stay prepared. The idea of not being able to feed your child is absolutely horrible. It might be the worst feeling I have ever had in my entire life. Alex and I will do whatever it takes to get him what he needs. I believe God will watch over us and protect our family. However, I still have a pit in my stomach a lot of the time, worrying if today is going to be the day we can’t find any food for him.
