Although, we thought it was going to be a long time until we found a new therapist we actually have a new one after just a short month. Alex did a great job in the interim, and really bridged the gap really well. She is extremely experienced at this point. I think about it and she has a lot more experience than most RBT’s. She has 4 years experience, since EI started and then 2.5 years of ABA Therapy. She has gone through multiple BCBA’s and numerous therapists. Some were good, some were horrible! And it is time to try the next one and see how it goes.
It has only been 1 day so far but it went extremely well. At least that is what Alex told me since I am working during the sessions. The new therapist, Tiffany, doesn’t have a lot of ABA experience but did work in special needs school programs. Greyson seemed to take to her right away. I do think the new form of ABA is really going to help him connect with any therapist he has much, much faster. I can only hope this works out well for all of us, because we already know how hard it can be to find the right match for Greyson.
